Marcelito Pomoy wows audience and judges at ‘AGT’ semis

Marcelito Pomoy once again impressed the audience and judges with a standing ovation-worthy performance at the semi-finals of “America’s Got Talent: The Champion.”

The Filipino singer performed the duet of Andrea Bocelli and Sarah Brightman’s “Time to Say Goodbye” on the show’s episode aired Feb. 3 (Feb.4, Philippine time). Judges Simon Cowell, Heidi Klum, Alesha Dixon, and Howie Mandel, all gave the Filipino singer a standing ovation. Simon believes Marcelito has massive career in front of him and advised him to take a “bigger risk” should he make it to the finals. Heidi declared that the Filipino singer is her favorite. Alesha was all praises for Marcelito’s song choice.

Howie said Marcelito has the best shot in winning the competition.

Marcelito was the champion of the second season of “Pilipinas Got Talent” in 2011. He sings in dual voice and made waves worldwide with his first song on the show, “The Prayer,” also originally by Andrea in duet with Celine Dion.
