In a recent NHL Players Poll, Bell MTS Centre, the home of our beloved Winnipeg Jets tied for 2nd place as the toughest rink to play in. Bell MTS Place shared the second position next to PPG Paints Arena and the Pittsburgh Penguins. The Nashville Predators and Bridgestone Arena ranked #1 in the poll.
The Jets are currently on the road after a 4-game home stand earlier this month. They won against the visiting Avalanche (5-2, Nov 9th), Devils (5-2, Nov 11th) and the defending Stanley Cup champions, Washington Capitals (3-1, Nov 14th). Their only loss came against the Buffalo Sabres in a 1-2 shootout at Bell MTS Centre on Friday, Nov. 16th.
In the first two road games, the Jets won 6-3 including a hat trick by Patrick Laine. The team fell flat in a 3-6 loss against the Calgary Flames on Wednesday, Nov. 21 at the Calgary Saddledome. Next on the road include back-to-back games Minnesota Wild and St. Louis Blues this weekend. The Jets fly home and take on Sidney Crosby and the Pittsburgh Penguins next week on Tuesday, Nov. 27th.
