Jessica Sanchez collaborates with Apl.de.ap in ‘Jump In’

Young Filipino-Mexican singer Jessica Sanchez collaborated with Fil-Am artist apl.de.ap, as the video for their song “Jump In” spread online last October.

Jessica welcomed the opportunity to work with the established artist especially since Apl also traces his roots from the Philippines. She added that Filipinos really represent their people well, and being a half-Pinoy makes her proud of her achievements.
For his part, Apl, a member of the Grammy Award-winning hip-hop group The Black Eyed Peas, considered collaborating with Jessica a great and meaningful experience. He also expressed admiration for her voice and singing talent.
The youth-oriented song “Jump In” spreads encouragement for the youth to stop hesitating and just do the things they want to do. The song was officially launched on radio, TV and online on Dec. 2. The collaboration marks Apl’s and Jessica’s turn as ambassadors for telecommunication giant company Smart.
The two talented artists were chosen as the embodiment of the song’s message. For Jessica, she jumped in and bravely pursued her dream to become a singer by joining one of the most challenging reality talent searches known in the world.
For Apl, he discovered early in his youth that music was what he wanted to do so he just jumped in to do things that he haven’t done before to broaden his horizon.
