Actress Iza Calzado won the Yakushi Pearl Award (Best Performer) for her role in the movie “Bliss” on Saturday, March 11 at the 2017 Osaka Asian Film Festival held in Osaka, Japan.
Iza got the nod of the jury members of the prestigious competition composed of Malaysian film director Ho Yuhang, Filipina director Monster Jimenez, and Japanese actress Nakanishi Miho. During her acceptance speech, Iza dedicated her award to her late parents, Lito Calzado and Maria Antonia Ussher. She likewise thanked director Jerrold Tarog, ABS-CBN, staff and crew of her show A Love To Last, her managers and boyfriend Ben Wintle. The film also stars Ian Veneracion, TJ Trinidad, Adrienne Vergara, and Michael de Mesa.
