The Canopy skating rink is open for gliding, crossovers, tricks and wipeouts – a telltale sign of more winter amenities to come and that winter is here to stay!
The Forks site crew is working to build additional rinks and on-land trails through Arctic Glacier Winter Park to open later this month.
Iceland Skate Rentals will be open by Wednesday evening, located right beside the skate changing area in the Market Atrium. Kids and seniors can rent skates for just $4, and adults for $6. Iceland can also sharpen your own skates for $6.
Additionally, the lighting installations throughout Arctic Glacier Winter Park were lit last week, so you can really get into the festive spirit exploring the twinkly site.
Arctic Glacier Winter Park Sunday Programming is on now until February 23 and includes: horse-drawn wagon rides, Indigenous programming in the teepee, and Soul on Ice – where the Canopy Rink transforms into a dancefloor for groovin’ to the tunes of DJs Hunnicutt and Co-op.
Conditions of winter amenities can be found at www.theforks.com/skate.
The river trail is not yet open for the season, check the website for future updates www.theforks.com/skate.
