“IN ADAGIO” written and performed by Jess Salgueiro, premiers at the Fringe Theatre Festival

Jessica Salgueiro, the actor daughter of John and Lita Salgueiro, owner of JS FURNITUTE, has written and will be performing in “IN ADAGIO” which will be premiered on a 7-day presentation at the 25th Winnipeg Fringe Theatre Festival.

Salgueiro who is also a film actor has been involved in many film projects. For her newest project, “IN ADAGIO,” Jessica will be performing in front of a live audience.

“IN ADAGIO”, set in the 60’s, tells the story of two singers who are double billed to sing at the legendary Paris Opera. The audience is immediately introduced to the reigning Queen of Opera and the sensational new face of the Portuguese Fado. Due to the intense climate of the Algerian War, a bomb threat has been made on the theatre and the two performers are trapped.

The women discover a way to use their empty stage to showcase their distinct styles of music and the striking harmony of their own fears and obsessions.
The show will begin on July 19 at 9 p.m; July 20, 12 noon; July 22, 10:45 p.m.; July 23, 12 noon; July 25, 3:45 p.m,; July 27, 7:15 p.m. and July 28, at 11:30 p.m. The venue is: The Muriel Auditorium at the Winnipeg Art Gallery, 300 Memorial Blvd. (Across from the Bay)
