2012 Honda CR-V Touring AWD

2012 Honda CR-V Touring AWD

Versatile, passenger and cargo friendly!

I love vehicles that offer simple conveniences. In the newly redesigned 4th generation 2012 Honda CR-V, there’s one feature that I just love and that’s the one-pull-one-motion cargo lever that folds the rear passenger seats down without having to move headrests or fold seats. In fact, there’s a Honda commercial that shows off that feature and I nearly fell of my rocker laughing. I was that guy! I must have showed off that feature at least a dozen times during the week I drove around in the 2012 Honda CR-V AWD Touring.

A lot of families will enjoy this vehicle and with the subtle refinements over last year’s model, the Honda CR-V comes with a lot of cargo and storage space. Great for moving families and all the Filipino food for the next family picnic at Kildonan Park. There is plenty of room for five adults, and options for a rear-entertainment unit which will keep the kids in the back quiet on long summer drives to the beach.

The new styling is fresh and more aerodynamic which leads to slightly improved fuel efficiency including lower profile and lighter vehicle weight. Along with the Eco Assist, the ECON feature increases improved fuel efficiency. Driving around town, fuel rating is 9.6L/100kms and 9.2L/100kms on the highway.
The centre console comes with a lot of technology features such as a multi-angle rearview camera, USB port, Pandora internet radio, Bluetooth and text-to-voice messaging including an optional NAV system.

The 185hp 16-valve DOHC VTec 4-cylinder engine is the only available engine option across six different trim levels. The only drivetrain option is a 5-speed automatic transmission. Starting at $25,990 for the LX 2WD model to the Touring AWD edition priced at $35,990. The Honda CR-V was awarded one of the 10 Best Family Cars by Kelly Blue Book. The CR-V is a small utility vehicle that practical, pleasant to look at and gentle at the gas pump.

Competition remains tough in the small SUV compact crossover space. Other vehicles that compete in this category are the new Ford Escape, Mitsubishi Outlander, Chevy Equinox, Kia Sorento Toyota RAV4, Mazda CX-5 and the Nissan Rogue. 2012 Honda CR-V Touring AWD
