The Sobeys discount grocery brand opens in Winnipeg with the opening of two FreshCo stores – McPhillips Ave. & Jefferson St. and Regent Ave. & Lagimodiere Blvd.
The FreshCo location on McPhillips & Jefferson will offer an extensive selection of Filipino products.
The new FreshCo at McPhillips and Jefferson is now open and Rex Quilapio is the store franchise owner. Rex has over 25 years of grocery industry experience and was the former bakery manager at IGA Jefferson. The new store opening featured a $5000 donation to Norwest Coop Community Food Centre, ribbon cutting and free eggs to the first 500 customers.
