Novel dance moves performed by super K-pop groups such as Big Bang and 2NE1 have been taking the world by storm for several years now.
Lately, K-pop artist Psy introduced the most popular dance move by a K-pop artist so far as featured in his video for the song “Gangnam Style,” which was a big hit in the US.
But unknown to many, some of their dance moves originated in the minds of Fil-Am choreographer Aimee Lucas.
According to a TV report, Lucas choreographed the dance moves for “You And I,” the solo single of 2NE1 member Park Bom. She has also worked with Sandara Park, who was a popular singer and actress in the Philippines before hitting it big as a pop sensation in her native South Korea.
Lucas was also the creative director of the “Gangnam Style” Flash Mob that led to a feature in ABC Channel’s “Nightline.”
In the past, songs such as “Macarena” and “Asereje” registered phenomenal sales because of the lively dance steps that accompanied them.
