Comedy King Dolphy remains in the intensive care unit (ICU) .as doctors at the Makati Medical Center continue to monitor his health condition following another bout with pneumonia.
The latest medical bulletin issued by the hospital noted that this is the 12th time the comedian has been afflicted with said lung infection.
Dolphy’s heart rate, blood pressure and vital signs have reportedly improved over the last few days. Although he is still unable to speak after undergoing tracheostomy last week; he is responsive by doing facial expressions and squeezing hands.
The comedian’s son and family’s spokesperson, director-actor Eric said in a statement on Tuesday that blood transfusion and dialysis conducted on Monday went well for him. Eric also announced that the doctors have already given the go signal to have his father transferred from the ICU to a regular room within the week.
The Quizon family hopes that Dolphy’s health will improve especially since he will be celebrating his 84th birthday on July 25.
