Multi-awarded film and TV Director Maryo J Delos Reyes has passed away on Jan. 27.
His manager June Rufino confirmed that the 65 year-old director died around 10 p.m. Saturday after suffering a heart attack while attending a party of a friend in Dipolog City. Delos Reyes directed the films “Magnifico” starring Jiro Manio, “A Love Story” starring Aga Muhlach, Angelica Panganiban and Maricel Soriano and “Naglalayag” starring Nora Aunor, Aleck Bovick and Yul Servo. His last film was “The Unmarried Wife,” released in 2016, starring Panganiban. The wake will be at the Loyola Memorial Chapels along Commonwealth Ave. from Jan. 30, 6 p.m. Interment will be on Sat., Feb. 3.
