Local Government Assistant Secretary and DILG spokesman Jonathan Malaya said the agency is seriously considering the filing of legal action against “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano” to protect the image of the entire Philippine National Police (PNP) organization.
“Ang Probinsiyano” airs on ABS-CBN and stars actor Coco Martin as a police officer. The PNP is being portrayed in the popular drama series as having a scalawag chief and inviting revenge from wronged ex-cops. The role was originally popularized by the late movie actor Fernando Poe Jr.
