The 2014 Valentine celebration by the officers and members of the Original Filipino Seniors Association of Manitoba (OFSA) declared Clarita Nazario, as the Queen Valentine; and Cesar Fronda, as the King Valentine, in a dinner dance held recently at the Canad Inns, Essence Hall.
Lawrence Toet, MP, Elmwood-Tanscona and Kevin Lamoureux, MP Winnipeg North were special guests together with some officers and members of FILCASA, FSGW and other regional association graced the annual celebration of the hearts.
During the Valentine ceremony, MP Kevin Lamoureux and Maggie Chan-Urbano, pres. of QPAM, pinned the sash for the Queen while Zeny Calimlim and Tony Antonio for the King; corsage by Carrie de la Cruz; boutonniere by Estrella Gabriel, bouquet of roses, Julie Javier, Batangas Assn. governor; gifts from Lorie Hernndez, Juanita Limon, Mila Briol, Estrella Gabriel and Letty Duro. tropphy for the Queen Valentine, Hilaria Calo and MP Lawrence Toet; trophy for King Valentine Cesar Fronda, Emilio andf Mila Briol.
The birthday celebrants for January, Hilaria Calo, Gloria Caparros, Norma Intac, Frisca Marquez, Clarita Nazario, Prisca Mercado, Conchita Almazan, and Rosalina Gabriel; for Febuary,Emilio Briol, Africa Torres, Cesar Fronda, Zeny Calimlim, and Sharon Thiesen; March: Ellen Chua, Pacita Balite, Mercedes Garduque, Jovita Miranda, Angie Maduro, Flor Rembon, Diosa Zoleta, Anicia Cabal, Estrella Gabriel, Fely Axalan, Rosita Dilig, Letty Antonio and Benigna Flores.
Pairing heart contest was a fun and many couples found the matching hearts. Dancing followed.
