The Panganiban (Mischief) Reef, which is just 135 nautical miles away from Palawan, is reported to be under China’s submarine harbor construction by the Kalayaan Atin Ito (KAI) movement.
KAI has just ended its nationwide and territorial campaign, highlighted by the “Freedom Voyage”, to rally against China’s invasion of the country’s maritime domain.
The report needs further validation according to Kalayaan Mayor Eugenio Bito-Onon. The route taken by the volunteers during the voyage was nowhere near the said reef.
Bito-Onon added that China is continuously strengthening its presence on Panganiban Reef.
