The Chai Folk Ensemble presents “Woven Threads”, a celebration of Winnipeg’s multicultural fabrics through music and dance on June 7, Thursday, at 7:30 pm at Club Regent Event Centre.
This presentation will honor Larry and Tova Vickar of the Vickar Automotive Group and will feature the following dance groups, namely, Rusalka Ukrainian Dance Ensemble, the Magdaragat Philippines, The Aboriginal School of Dance, and La Troupe jeunese de l’ensemble folklorique de la Riviera-Rouge.
Chai Folk Ensemble, North America’s oldest and largest Israeli folk dance ensemble founded in 1964 by the late Sarah Sommer, has an international reputation for international dance, music and songs. Chai is the Hebrew word for “alive”.
