Centum Above All Financial redirected their PCCM donation of $8,400 donation to Hope Worldwide of Canada. The funds were organically raised at a Typhoon Haiyan fundraising social at the Philippine-Canadian Centre of Manitoba on November 22, 2013. The fundraising social was a success which even included a special visit by Prime Minister Stephen Harper. Three cheques totalling $8,400 were originally donated to PCCM.
“The game plan was to get the money there quickly,” remarked Naseer Chaudhry, owner and mortgage broker with Centum Above All Financial. As of last week, the funds were still with Centum, and Chaudhry issued a stop-payment due to PCCM’s delayed typhoon response. Along with Centum empolyees and family, Naseer Chaudhry’s donation of $8,400 was presented to Hope Worldwide of Canada.
Hope Worldwide of Canada also received a $2,200 donation from Zion Insurance. Total donations from both financial services companies total $10,600. Hope Worldwide is currently on the ground in the Philippines assisting with earthquake and typhoon relief programs.
