Bulacan Association of Winnipeg holds “Paskuhang Bulakenyo”

New set of officers inducted

“For the past years, the new Bulacan Association of Winnipeg, through the previous leaders, the association has been active in helping the community back home. We have donated computers to the public schools, conducted community outreach to home for the aged and the homeless children; we extended a helping hand during the calamities in the Philippines; we have sponsored a concert which featured “Koro Bulakenyo in Winnipeg, these were only a few of the many projects that the association had been achieved,” a welcome speech of Clarita Ortega-Nazario, outgoing president, at the Christmas Party held recently at Mangkok International, Main st.

The new set of officers include: Venancio Domingo, president; Michael John Maglinao, vice president; Azelle Santos, secretary; Gladys Martin, asst. secretary; Roffie Domingo, treasurer;Leonardo Linag, auditor; Jessie Faustino, pro; Ariel Cruz and Jeff Figueroa, sgt. at atrms. Town representatives include: Marissa Calvadores, San Miguel; Dexter Santos and Crys Martin, Malolos; Karl Kristian Paraiso, Sta. Maria; Jimmy and Emmy Nucom, Calumpit; Ariel Cruz, Guiginto; Dong Valenzuela, Plaridel; Joyce Ortega; Norbert and Fred Esguerra, Pulilan; Carolina Raymundo, Hagonoy; Felino de Jesus, Bulacan; Boyet Nicolas, Angat; Julie Javier, Valenzula; Paul Danied Abarientos, Marilao; Lucille Nolasco, Pandi; Michelle Moya, San Rafael; Rowena Culalic, Paombong; advisers: Albert Capiral, Obando; Lito Bautista, Baliuag; and Paquito Pacheco, Balagtas.

Prizes were awarded to the winners and the public dancing followed. Azelle Santos and Gladys Martin were the emcees.
