Senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. yesterday directly accused President Aquino of being behind a hate campaign against his family to derail his vice presidential candidacy. He cited Aquino’s statements which focuses on abuses during martial law, including the failure of Congress to pass the Bangsamoro Basic Law (BBL).
The senator said people are now more interested in current issues like unemployment and peace and order. He added that the president could not blame him for the failure of Congress to pass the BBL since it was the House that failed to transmit a copy of its approved work to the Senate.
