Director Arvin Belarmino promised to pay tribute to the late indie actor in his speeches and interviews when he attends the Landshut Short Film Festival 2019 in Germany, which runs until March 25.
The seven-minute acclaimed film “Nakaw,” which stars King, is in competition at the film festival. Belarmino co-directed the 2016 film with Noel Escondo. The short film has been previously entered in different festivals abroad, including Brussels Short Film Festival 2018, Berlin Interfilm Festival 2017, and Festival de Cannes 2017.
Belarmino shared that he’s still in shock over King’s sudden demise. The actor passed away due to complications caused by diabetes. He was 36.
