The 2011/12 officers and directors for the Bacoor Association of Manitoba were inducted during their 11th Anniversary Dinner held at Kum Koon Garden. Officers inducted that evening were: Mike Pagtakhan (President), Nick Baloy (Vice-President), Gina Gensaya (Secretary), Myrna Mateo (Auditor), Chit Reyes (Treasurer), Roland Filio (Director), Eric Miranda (Director), Boy Salas (Director), Levy Agawin (Membership Coordinator), Rechie Filio (Membership Coordinator), Mercy Enriquez (PRO), Fely Mejia ( PRO), Nelia Miranda (PRO), Mines Pagtakhan (PRO), Ched Salas (PRO), Oyie Sarino (PRO), Eugene Ramos (PRO), Libby Enriquez (Sergeant at Arms), Joey Gensaya (Sergeant at Arms), Jhun Mejia (Sergeant at Arms), James Reyes (Sergeant at Arms) and Reyley Sarino (Sergeant at Arms).
The Bacoor Association of Manitoba through fundraising efforts throughout the summer, presented a cheque of $500 to Andrea Kwasnicki, Manitoba Regional Director for the Canadian Diabetes Association.

Being President over the course of the last 2 years has been extremely memorable, as I have had the great honour to work side by side with such incredibly selfless group of Winnipegers with deep roots in our hometown of Bacoor, Cavite, Philippines. Always ready to serve when called upon, the Officers & Board of Directors of the Bacoor Association, I have learned, are driven and motivated in a generously singular fashion to share Bacoor hospitality, food, fun, tradition, stories and camaraderie with the goal of building community and to reach out to fellow Bacoorians throughout the Province of Manitoba.
As we continue to build upon the traditions that define the Bacoor Association of Manitoba, you can rest assured that we will have an abundance of food, fun and games at next year’s Summer Celebration in the Park waiting for you! And to support our student bursary award, we will be waiting for you and your fishing rods at next year’s Fishing Derby, where we will have even more fabulous prizes to be won!
