Woman in rape rumor supports national football team

A glamour model who was linked to a rape rumor involving some members of the Philippine Azkals national football team said she surfaced last week not to accuse the football players of rape but to cry foul over being removed from the roster of a condom promo show allegedly because of the issue.

Wynnel Amanda Coling also clarified that she supports the national football team in their quest to beat Kuwait in their FIFA World Cup qualifying clash later this week.

Coling recently became a hot item in entertainment gossips over the rumors linking her to the alleged rape incident. She refused to comment on the rumor and has not accused the Azkals of any wrongdoing. She said she will soon issue an official statement through her lawyer.

Meanwhile, a university official said Coling was neither a graduate of an Applied Physics degree nor of any degree programs offered by the College of Science in the University of the Philippines in Diliman.

According to Jethro Salapare, acting college secretary at the UP College of Science, Coling was a former BS Applied Physics student then transferred to Library Science also in UP Diliman.
