One of Winnipeg’s fine local Filipino bands, The 12/21, performed recently in their hometown in the Philippines. The band of brothers (Roman, Rico, and Roque Maceda) with their supportive parents spent the last Christmas holidays back home. During their stay, the band staged a successful homecoming concert, on December 20, at Floring’s Plaza, in Marikina City. The 12/21 also took the occasion to release a demo CD that contained their original songs “Bakit Mo Ko Iniwan?” and “Adventure.” Opening for them at that gig was Roman’s former band The 22nd Band.
