The actor/comedian and host Willie Revillame admits signing contract with TV5 for two shows, undeterred by the ongoing legal battles with former TV station.
According to a report by the Philippine Daily Inquirer, Revillame confirms signing a deal with the said station at the home of his lawyer Alfonso Reyno last Sept 7 with the presence of TV5 chairman Manny V. Pangilinan. Witness to the contract signing was Vic del Rosario, Willie’s manager.
Revillame’s new shows, “Willing Willie” and “Born to be a Star”, will be aired next month.
Revillame signed a three year contract with ABS-CBN in September 2008 to host the hit show “Wowowee”. Only this year, May 25, Willie was suspended due to his acts against radio host Jobert Sucaldito.
The suspension and probation were legitimate grounds to end his contract, claims Revillame.
ABS-CBN filed a P426 million Lawsuit against Revillame as liquidated damages for breaching his contract.
