London is calling and WestJet will fly direct starting in May 2016.
Winnipeg is one of six Canadian cities getting a non-stop flight to London starting in May. Flights will originate in Winnipeg and land at London’s Gatwick Airport. Introductory promotional fares started at $279 and will go up to $325 one-way plus taxes and surcharges.
Gatwick Airport, is located about 45 kilometres south of central London and charges less on airline fees than Heathrow, London’s primary airport hub. Direct flights start May 7, 2016 from five other Canadian cities – Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, Toronto and St. John’s.
