Media agency Carat hopes to rekindle the current generation’s love for the Original Philippine Music or OPM by staging the Fusion Philippine Music Festival.
The first-ever Fusion Philippine Music Festival was held at the Mall Of Asia Arena last January. This time Carat is aiming to stage a bigger one next year. According to EJ Patacsil, Media Planner of Fusion, the musicfest will enable the youth of today to realize the country have both talented musicians and beautiful music.
For his part, Jake Habitan, Digital Strategist of Fusion added the music festival aims to re-ignite the Filipino’s love for OPM by letting them know that it’s alive and well.
Patacsil and his group are targeting the youth market through schools. They noted how the youth is very much into social media which they believe will be a benefit to their efforts.
