Local Stylistas’ Raise Funds for St-Boniface Hospital’s Heart Clinic
Local entrepreneurs “Makeup Maven” Tia Provici of PROVICI Cosmetics and Aldo Formal Wear’s “King of Style” Ken Lozano have teamed up to present “UNVEILED: baring the artistic soul.”
Tia and Ken have combined their talent and 30+ years of beauty and fashion experience to create what promises to be an unforgettable evening. Guests will feel their love and passion for this art form as they view a fabulous display of elegance. Upscale fashions ranging from clean line silhouettes to tailored eveningwear will be experienced both on the elevated runway and an accompanying video presentation.
The evening will be like a finely crafted cocktail. Simply constructed of equal parts fashion, art and heart, taking participants on a wide-eyed and intoxicating journey.
The charm and wit of Ace Burpee, from Virgin 103.1 FM will guide the audience through the evening’s program featuring striking ladies and gents from Panache. The models will be sashaying down the runway in fashions from Aldo Formal Wear and local design genius Lennard Taylor while wearing accessories from Paperdoll Clothing.
For the artistic component, Aevi Salon’s creative director, John Graham will be responsible for hair art. Makeup artistry will be by the team from PROVICI Cosmetics. Photographic art displayed by independent fashion photographer Charmaine Mallari of Charmaine Mallari Photography and John Giavedoni of immagine|photography. Enigma Dance Factory will rev up the heart rates with an energetic, dazzling performance.
The heart of the evening is the St-Boniface Hospital’s Heart Clinic who will benefit from proceeds from this artistic affair. Tia and her friends want to shine light on the importance of heart health.
The Heart Clinic Team gave Tia guidance, support and medical attention when she was diagnosed with Congestive Heart Failure. Tia had to adjust to major lifestyle changes and undergo pacemaker (implantable cardioverter defibrillator) surgery. “I am extremely grateful to have been under the care of this compassionate medical team. I feel so blessed and now, along with my friends, I want to give back.” As one of the younger in the province with this disease, Tia wants to “create more awareness about the importance of heart health and most importantly say Thank You!”
UNVEILED, Thursday, April 4th, 2013 from 6:30pm-1:30 am. The show starts at 7pm. Celebrate with style at BOA Lounge, located at 177 Lombard Ave. Tickets are $30 and can be purchased at PROVICI Cosmetics (214 McDermott Ave,), Aldo Formal Wear (310 Notre Dame Ave.) or at St-Boniface Hospital (Foundation office, C1026). When bought in quantities of 4 or more, tickets can be delivered.
