Glimpse of the past; Photo taken during the initial 1st gathering of the newly-formed University of Santo Tomas Alumni Association, Manitoba Branch at Kildonan Park on August 27, 1978.
The memorable event was attended by the founders, graduates of the University of Santo Tomas who discussed many projects and fund raising plans for scholarships. Present were Rod Cantiveros (Philets), Tom de Leon (Engineering), Carolina Custodio (Education), Dr, Rudy Narvas (Medicine), Sr. Paulino Orallo (Medicine), Cora Alcuitas (Architecture), Myrna Dinglasan (Commerce), Oscar Perez de Tagle (Artlets), Dante Almario (Engineering), Ric Cruz (Commerce), Oscar Trinidad (Fine Arts), Linda Natividad Cantiveros (Graduate School-cand.). Other founders were not able to attend the 1st get-together. As per agreement, the next get-together would be the house of Mr. & Mrs. Bayani & Carolina Custodio.
