Filipino-American Thia Megia and her fellow American Idol (AI) Season 10 finalists wrapped up their two-night concert at the Araneta Coliseum on September 21.
Expectedly popular among Filipinos, Megia, Jacob Lusk, Casey Abrams, Haley Reinhart, James Durbin, Lauren Alaina, Naima Adedapo, Paul McDonald, Pia Toscano, Stefano Langone and grand winner Scotty McCreery arrived in the Philippines Saturday morning for the only Asian country stop of their 2011 tour.
During the press conference held at the historic Manila Hotel. Megia expressed admiration for compatriot Charice but somewhat expressed unease on being compared to the phenomenal Pinay.
The 15-year-old Fil-Am singer is the youngest finalist to have appeared on “Idol.” She previously made it to the quarterfinals of “America’s Got Talent” in 2009. That same year, she also performed at the highly popular “David Foster and Friends” concert.
Apart from the concert itself, Megia said that she is looking forward to see her relatives in Manila.
