Amidst conflicting reports that Nora Aunor is set to return to the country on July 21. or on the first week of August, her homecoming after eight years of stay in the US is still a much-awaited event to her die-hard fans.
The superstar is set to shoot a film “El Presidente,” which is about the life of Philippine historical figure Emilio Aguinaldo. Laguna Governor ER Ejercito will play Aguinaldo while Aunor will essay the role of Maria Agoncillo, the second wife of Aguinaldo.
Ejercito said Aunor will have a week to shoot her scenes with him and Hollywood director Quentin Tarantino who will interview her in the movie.
However Aunor’s closest friend and confidante German Moreno disclosed that the July 21 homecoming will not push through due to a prior commitment which makes it impossible for her to return to the country on the said date.
Moreno said the superstar sent a text message to her spokesman Albert Sunga that she will not make it on July 21.
The TV host added that Aunor might arrive instead on the first week of August.
