Sisler students to appear on Dragon’s Den

On April 26th, four aspiring Sisler students are looking to kick start their company by being on an episode of Dragon’s Den, where aspiring entrepreneurs pitch their business concepts and products to a panel of Canadian business moguls who have the cash and the know-how make it happen.

Forget Me Not Media is an independent media services company operated by four highly skilled female entrepreneurs from Sisler High School. The company is made up of Alexa Lachuta, Abbie Barzaga, Regina Resosso, and Anastasia Elexeev. Three of the girls will be graduating in June and are planning on taking on contracts in the summer, with the hopes of looking to take new clients shortly thereafter.

The students have no post-secondary level training. All their skills proudly are from cutting edge ICT and MST courses offered at Sisler High School, in Winnipeg’s North End. Their pitch focuses on a student media company (similar to the College Pro Painter approach with lower prices, professional quality).

They are also presenting a game designed by Game Design and Development students of Sisler High School. Forget Me Not Media provides high quality media branding, at a student’s rate. Each member of the team offers a unique and creative mind that is, in itself, the primary base of their company. The girls are able to create every media branding needed by a client— from posters, event tickets, letter heads, CD/DVD’s, websites, videos and company template games only some of them. The girls are even planning on launching their own game for mobile devices in 2012.

The Manitoba Filipno Business Council (MFBC) proudly has the motto to Progress, Prosper, Pinoy! Forget Me Not Media is a fabulous example how hard work can pay off into a business opportunity/venture. The MFBC was delighted to give Forget Me Not Media advice on their sales pitch recommendations when they step into the Dragon’s Den.
