Senator Enverga met with newly appointed Philippine Ambassador to Canada Petronila Garcia, during a recent visit to the Philippines. Joined by Canadian Ambassador to the Philippines Neil Reeder, Senator Enverga wished Ambassador Garcia all the best on her new assignment, and said that he looked forward to working with her on matters of mutual interest during her tenure in Ottawa.Ambassador Garcia had previously served as the Philippine Ambassador to the State of Israel and the Arab Republic of Egypt. She has the distinction of being the first female Philippine ambassador to be assigned to an Arab country.
