Santa needs friendly, helpful elves to help the No Feet on the Street Team. The No Feet on the Street team is responsible for providing safety monitoring on the blocks along the parade route while ensuring a fun, festive experience. Each block has 10-12 team members that will assist with any set-up and clean-up required on assigned blocks. Volunteers will direct spectators that have special viewing needs and ensure parade spectators are a safe distance from the street and out of the path of parade participants and vehicles. Volunteers area safety monitors and report any issues to the Block Captains.
Being a helpful, friendly resource to spectators is a critical part of ensuring a safe and magical experience for all.
Volunteer in groups or pairs or individually. All you need is a friendly, assertive attitude and warm, comfortable clothing.
We will provide orientation/training and any supplies you will need. Send an email to Leane Funk, No Feet on the Street Team Lead, at safety@winnipegsantaparade.com to sign up.
