His forthcoming projects may have been temporarily shoved to the back burner—and he may have declined ABS-CBN’s offer to host Wowowee—but that doesn’t mean Robin Padilla is going to disappear from the public eye. On the contrary, Robin is going to be very much in the public view following explosive revelations about his private life.
Robin, who debuted as an action prince in Anak ni Baby Ama and gained fame in Bad Boy 2, granted a lengthy interview to StarStudio Magazine about the leading ladies he’s been linked to, from Sharon Cuneta to Kris Aquino.
The 40-year-old action superstar revealed that he very nearly married one of his leading ladies, but the wedding plans were aborted because the girl in question was too young.
He also revealed that the late President Cory Aquino pleaded with her daughter Kris to give him up, but that Kris said she couldn’t. In the story entitled “Unraveling Robin”, he also tells of how the romance with Kris ended.
Many of the revelations regarding his romances, Robin is making for the first time in print.
StarStudio was also able to interview some of the women involved, like Jobelle Salvador and Robin’s ex-wife Leizel Sicangco, who recently flew into town to celebrate the 10th birthday of their youngest son Allih.
Leizel countered with a few explosive revelations of her own, including a confession that she became jealous of all the women linked to her then-husband, with the exception of Megastar Sharon Cuneta. “Si Ma’am Sharon, n’ung nalaman niyang buntis ako kay Queenie, siya na mismo ang umiwas,” Leizel said in an e-mail interview with StarStudio.
In the magazine’s August 2010 issue, Robin also downplayed the issue about him being a local Casanova.
He told SSM: “Hindi naman. Matindi lang ako magmahal.” Read all about Robin’s revelations, and about Leizel’s warning to the other women in Robin’s life in the next issue of StarStudio Magazine.
