Register now for TUMINUNGNUNG 2018 Philippine Heritage Youth Forum on Friday November 2, 2018 at Prairie Theatre Exchange, 3rd Floor Portage Place (393 Portage Avenue).
Filipino-Canadian youth age 14 to 19 from across Winnipeg are invited to participate in youth-lead dialog and discussion.
Conference participants will engage in the passion and artistry of this year’s keynote speaker Dennis Gupa, a theatre director and PhD Candidate in Applied Theatre at the University of Victoria who will speak to the importance of the Arts in preserving ancestral knowledge and practices, and in contributing to the ongoing global conversations on climate change.
He will be joined by three international artist-collaborators for a multimedia performance piece and to examine this year’s theme: TUMINUNGNUNG (from the land).
The one-day forum concludes with a reception welcoming community supporters, parents, and guests and featuring participant performances.
Lunch will be provided to participants and registration is completely free of charge.
