The Philippine Embassy in Seoul, South Korea celebrates its first major cultural event of the year with the screening of “Bonifacio: Ang Unang Pangulo” (Bonifacio: The First President) and “Heneral Luna” at the Lee Byung Hyung Hall of the War Memorial of Korea in Yongsan on Mar. 6.
“Bonifacio: Ang Unang Pangulo” was released in 2014. The film is about revolutionary leader Andres Bonifacio. It stars Robin Padilla, Vina Morales, Daniel Padilla and Eddie Garcia. Meanwhile, “Heneral Luna” deals with the life of Gen. Antonio Luna, another Filipino hero. The film was released in 2015 and stars John Arcilla and Mon Confiado, among others. The free screening of the two Filipino classical films aims to promote Philippine arts and culture in Korea.
