Manitoba Filipino Street Festival held its 2nd Annual Parol-Making Contest, coupled with choral group singing competition joined in by ingenious and talented members of the community. Several local artists and entertainers also graced the event. Another highlight of the day and the evening was the “turo-turo”-style food stalls in the basement area of the venue, featuring various Filipino delicacies that included fishball, kikiam, leche flan, yema cake, lutong ulam, hotdogs, and many more.
Parol carolling winners:
Carol: Family Navarro Castillo- 500, Singil Coral Bulilit Group- 300 and Vocal arts- 200.
Recital: Ronald Ian Flores- 300, Sherry De Guzman- 200 and Charinel Navoa- 100.
Onsite: Jenica Reyes- 300, Melbert Rano- 200 and Aura Guevara- 100.
