The annual summer picnic of the officers and members of the Original Filipino Association of Manitoba (OFSAM) is one of the best gatherings held by seniors, an event when the officers and members, friends and their families join together for a one day social affair.
“We are having fun every time the seniors gather and this makes us more active in our lives,” said Letty Antonio, president of OFSAM. “We bring food, share the stories, dance and sing. These make us much happier, even healthier.”
Last summer, the officers, members and friends had a great time at the Assiniboine Park, near the Duck Pond.
