Who said that the members and guests of the Original Filipino Seniors Association of Manitoba are getting older?
They are not if you were present during the 36th anniversary celebration held recently at the community centre where the young once enjoy the music and dance, especially when Rod E. Cantiveros, president of Manitoba Council of Canadian Filipino Associations Inc.,got a chance to lead the the dancing lessons with the seniors from Filcasa and OFSAM. Dancing lessons after dancing lessons on rhumba and manbo, the seniors got all the time to enjoy the fun and they requested more time to learn the basic steps.
“Dancing is one of the most important components in maintaining good memory,” Rod told the seniors.
The anniversary celebration also honoured the birhtday celebrants for the months of July, August, Septemberr and October.
Collection of cash donations of $122.00 for the calamiity fund was held.
