OCTA: Top two officials get high trust approval ratings

Philippines’ top two officials, President Bongbong Marcos and Vice President Sara Duterte, obtained high trust and satisfaction ratings, according to the survey recently released by the OCTA Research Group.

The research was the first survey conducted since the new administration on June 30.

Results of the Oct. 23 to 27 “Tugon ng Masa” survey showed that 86 percent of the respondents trust the country’s top two officials, with only four percent saying they distrust them and the remaining 10 percent undecided.

Marcos received the highest trust rating among those in Mindanao at 92 percent, followed by those in the Visayas at 87 percent, Balance Luzon at 84 percent and Metro Manila at 82 percent.

Duterte obtained a trust rating of 98 percent among respondents in Mindanao, followed by 87 percent in the Visayas, 83 percent in Metro Manila and 81 percent in the rest of Luzon.

As per the opinions of the respondents on the performance of the president 78 percent said they were satisfied with Marcos, with five percent saying they were dissatisfied and 18 percent undecided.

Duterte obtained a slightly higher satisfaction rating at 80 percent, with four percent dissatisfied and 16 percent undecided.
