No long weekend for employees and students.
Presidential Communications Operation Office Secretary Herminio B. Coloma Jr. confirmed on Sunday, October 26 that October 31 has not been declared as national holiday.
October 31 is not part of the list of 2014 holidays approved by President Benigno Aquino III, Coloma said.
Under Proclamation no. 655, only November 1 (Saturday) was listed as special nonworking holiday in celebration of All Saints’ Day.
However, Coloma said suspension of work would depend on the private sector companies.
