Sal Panelo, spokesperson of president-elect Rodrigo Duterte, enumerated more names during a press conference on Tuesday in Panacan, Davao City as addition to the list of Cabinet members for the incoming administration.
Joining the official family are former military attaché to Washington retired general Delfin Lorenzana for the Defense department (DND); former South Cotabato governor Mike Sueno for the Interior department (DILG); undersecretary Fortunato dela Peña for the Department of Science and Technology (DOST); former Anakpawis representative Rafael Mariano for the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR); and Alliance of Concerned Teachers (ACT) women’s committee head Judy Taguiwalo for the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD). The new heads of various agencies include NBI Region 11 director Dante Gierran as director of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI); former Davao City public safety command center chief Isidro Lapena for the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA); lawyer Martin Delgra for the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB); former Davao City police chief Jaime Morente for the Bureau of Immigration (BI); Ricardo Jalad for the National Disaster Risk Reduction & Management Council (NDRRMC); and former Marine colonel Nicanor Faeldon for the Bureau of Customs (BOC). During the press conference, Duterte also reiterated that he had no compelling reason to give a post for vice president-elect Leni Robredo.
