The American coach told Filipino reporters during his NBA Fit clinic at the Gatorade Hoops Center in Mandaluyong City on Wednesday that he has been following Paras’ promising career since he became the talk of the town as a young player who will be attending the UCLA next year.
The 17-year-old son of former PBA Rookie-MVP Benjie Paras is hoping to build on his rookie season with the LA Cathedral Phantoms. This weekend he will represent Asia in the adidas Global Nations camp. The camp will feature NBA coaches and players, as well as current collegiate players acting as camp counselors. The guest coaches and players will provide invaluable insight and first-hand knowledge that accompany the rise of any aspiring NBA star.
