Magnate Manny Pangilinan is seemingly intent in widening his interests in broadcasting as he confirmed that he is interested in buying GMA Network.
MVP, as he is known in the business circle, emphasized, though, that the talks with GMA management are but preliminary, which he said started way back in 2002.
For his part, Atty. Felipe Gozon of GMA-7 recently released a statement saying his company is flattered by the expression of continued interest on the part of MVP. He stressed however that there has been no price offered that could form the basis of discussion between the parties.
Pangilinan has major interests in other big businesses like TV5, PLDT, Smart, Talk ‘N Text, Meralco, Maynilad, Philex Mining, Landco Pacific, and the Manila Metro Rail Transit System.
