Residents in the Maples have a new grocery store flock to. Lucky Supermarket opened their second location in Winnipeg at the former IGA store on Jefferson and Adsum.
Customers lined up as early as 7am in the hopes of being one of the first 200 customers recieving a free 36lb bag of rice when the doors opened at 10am.
Customers were also treated to gifts throughout the day as part of their opening day gifts and giveaways.
The grand opening celebrations included lion dance and cultural performances and kept customers entertained as they waited patiently in line before entering the store.
