Kevin Lamoureux squeaks out a win in Winnipeg North

Incumbent Kevin Lamoureux held on to the Winnipeg North riding by a mere 117 (on election night) votes over NDP candidate, Rebecca Blaike. Supporters at both campaigns were biting nails throughout the evening until final results were announced and gave Lamoureux the slight edge.

Official results from Elections Canada saw Lamoureux win the riding by a mere 45 votes. Lamoureux with 9097 votes and Blaike with 9052 votes. Conservative candidate Ann Matejicka finished third in the riding with decent support with 6079 votes.

Kevin Lamoureux is the lone Liberal MP from Manitoba.
