Justin Merluza, designer and owner of Just-In Couture Event Decor, is in the Cloud 9, a feeling of consummate joy and fulfillment after winning two major awards at the recently concluded Wonderful Wedding Show 2015 at RBC Convention Centre.
The 1st major award is the hotly coveted Wonderful Wedding Show’s Best Booth of 2015, voted by all the participants/vendors/exhibitors of the most popular wedding show, edging out a company which had been a perennial winner. And now Justin Merluza of Just-In Couture Event Decor, awarded the highest honor, with so much complements and recognitions.
“I am very lucky and happy for this award. This is my major accomplishment in my second year to join this prestigious wedding show, and because of our hardwork and dedication, especially my family, we are recognized for what we have done, to bring my creativity into the highest level,” says Justin Merluza.
For many years only one company had been winning this coveted prize, but this year, 2015, it is the turn of Justin Merluza who joined the wedding show only last 2014.
“At the beginning, our focus is to do the best, my mom and dad and members of family, have been working hard to help me attain what I wanted to be, and now, my second year, I was challenged to excel, and I succeeded,” Justin adds.
The 2nd award is the Wonderful Wedding Show Inspiration Gallery, best in Tableescape 2015 which had a 11-foot gold tree and live finch birds. This award was voted by the would-be brides who attended the show.
“Yes, hardwork and dedication, and especially, dreaming big are ingredients for Justin’s success, and we are supporting him to all his endeavour, and we are happy for his accomplishments,”say Olie and Precy Merluza (Mrs. Philippines-Manitoba 2014), Justin’s parents. “Our family is totally involved.”
Winning major awards are the results of Justin’s inherent talent and dedication,and after his graduation at the University of Fraser Valley in Vancouver with a degree on Fashion Design and Business, he knew that the promise of venturing into fashion business is in the right direction.
He has been the most-sought our fashion designer in Winnipeg and other cities for weddings and other social events, event decor artist, surpassing his expectations; and hopefully with these awards, new facilities and warehouses are in the plans for this year.
“Hopefully, we will go forward and be able to elevate the wedding ensemble into the next level of excellence,” Justin says with a smile.
