A 14-year-old native of Davao City got 44.78 percent of total viewers’ votes cast via text and various online sites to became the first ever grand champion of “The Voice Teens” on Sunday night.
Jona Soquite, who belonged to the team of coach Sarah Geronimo, sang “I Believe I Can Fly,” a song composed and performed by R. Kelly. She won a house and lot, P1 million in cash, a recording and management contract, and a business package. On second spot was Isabella Vinzon of Mexico, Pampanga, who belonged to the team of coach Bamboo Mañalac; Mica Becerro of Surigao del Sur, team of coach Lea Salonga, on third place; and Jeremy Glinoga from Lipa City on fourth, team of coach Sharon Cuneta.
