Founding MFBC President, Jon Reyes officially passed the torch to Hipolito Alibin Jr. in the Manitoba Filipino Business Council’s inaugural swearing-in ceremony hosted by RBC Royal Bank on Tuesday, March 3, 2015.
Hipolito is a Certified General Accountant. Hipolito is a partner with ALIBIN DONEZA Professional Accountants, CFO with Blueprint Global Partners, and has over 15 years of diverse accounting & management experience. He started with MFBC since it launched in 2010 and held positions of Treasurer and Vice-President.
Hipolito Alibin Jr is the newly inducted president of the Manitoba Filipino Business Council. Making up the remaining board of directors include Jihan Aquino, Vice-President (Canadian Westen Bank); Jeff Doneza, Treasurer (People Corporation); Dale Voluntad, Secretary (RBC Royal Bank); Jackie Wild, Director of Public Relations (Grace Hospital Foundation); Valen Vergara, Director of Events (Now Network Joint Ventures) and Todd Labelle, Director of Membership (Todd Labelle Promotions).
In his final remarks as MFBC President, Jon Reyes highlighted many of the achievements during his five-year term as the founding business council president. The annual MFBC Awards Galas is one of the crowning achievements under Reyes’ leadership which showcases the best of MFBC members and business owners.
A lot of the successes during Reyes’ term would not have been possible without the help of many indivduals and corporate support, notably from RBC Royal Bank, Holly Toupin and the Filipno Journal’s Rodolfo and Ron Cantiveros.
Mayor Brian Bowman made a special presentation to the out-going board of directors: Jon & Cynthia Reyes, JR Alibin, Jeff Doneza, Sheila Damsel-Tan, Tes Aiello, Sammy Sarte and Katrina Daaca.
The official ceremonies concluded with MFBC legal counsel and lawyer, Gary Sarcida from Pullan Kammerloch Frohlinger (PKF) Lawyers presided over the swearing-in ceremonies. Congratulations to Hipolito Alibin Jr and the new board of the Manitoba Filipino Business Council.
