The movie “Edna,” with award-winning Irma Adlawan in the title role pertains to the sufferings of some OFWs who were made milking cows by some government officials.
Edna is the epitome of an OFW who left the country full of hope. Working abroad for 10 straight years, she was surprised upon coming home to see her family still in the same condition she left them. Worse, she was treated by her family as if she is a stranger as the bond, affection and love they have for each other were destroyed by her being away for so long.
A unique movie about OFWs, the film is directed by veteran actor Ronnie Lazaro who also plays the role of Edna’s husband.
Watch out for Edna when it is shown in local theaters.
