Dr. Ali Zentner headlines fun and informative diabetes event
Winnipeg, MB. (April 14, 2016) – On Saturday, April 23, the Canadian Diabetes Association (CDA) brings its national expo to Winnipeg. This free event will take place at The Wellness Institute (1075 Leila Ave.) from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and will be headlined by author and television host, Dr. Ali Zentner, MD.
“We are pleased to once again be hosting one of the CDA’s national expos in Winnipeg this year,” says Andrea Kwasnicki, regional director, Manitoba/Nunavut for the CDA. “The CDA Expo is a great way to empower people to learn new ways to live a healthy life with diabetes or how to prevent type 2 diabetes when possible. This year’s focus on healthy eating means we can showcase how eating well can make a difference to your health.”
In addition to Dr. Zentner, the CDA Expo Winnipeg will feature a presentation from Dr. Kevin Saunders, medical director of the Wellness Institute at Seven Oaks General Hospital and an “Ask the Expert” panel of chefs and healthy eating experts. Attendees can also enjoy a diabetes-related trade show and connect with local community resources.
While the event is free, space is limited and pre-registration is required. Registration and detailed information about the Expo can be found at diabetes.ca/expo.
